From humble beginnings as a gardener (a clue to my production moniker there) & after many years working my way around Asia & Australasia, I’ve carved myself an interesting career in the creative industries. Currently, I’m Head of Partnerships & Development for Manchester Animation Festival. Before this, I was an Executive Producer running a production company at diversity focused not-for-profit Iconic Steps, an Executive Producer at production company Make Films, at a British Film Institute backed startup, & further back, I was head of sponsorship at VICE Media. My favourite projects have included a short documentary that I produced about coffee farmers on location in Peru, & film marketing campaigns for Warner Bros & Universal Pictures.

In 2014, I took screenwriting night courses at Central St Martins College London. Over 3 years I studied the craft & have been honing my skills ever since. I would find huge satisfaction in life if I can help make movies or series that provide escapism, challenge perceptions & feed imaginations. Through cold pitches, brilliant execs from epic film companies such as Dreamworks, Searchlight & Film4 have given me encouraging feedback & strengthened my resolve to turn my filmmaking dreams into multi-sensory realities.

I particularly love films and series with charismatic characters, meaningful messaging, heartfelt drama, dark comedy & original action. My inspiration includes The Truman Show, Die Hard, The Big Lebowski, Being There, Predator, Prey, Mud, 3 Billboards, True Romance, Do The Right Thing, Outer Range, The Offer & Succession.
